Pinner Park School - PTA Quiz Night - Friday 11th October 2019 - 19.00 till 22.00
A team of FoHMP members will be entering this event.
Despite our valiant efforts we could only manage Eighth out of Twelve it just was not our night.
Wednesday wander - 09th October 2019 - Bird Watching - 10.30am till 12.00 Noon
A gentle stroll around Headstone Manor Park with emphasis on Nature led by Vicky Duxbury, Headstone’s Outdoor Learning Officer and supported by Ian Jackson (RSPB) meet at the Moat Cafe, we will have some spare binoculars available for use.
This event was very popular with 23 attendees many thanks for your continued support.
Training - Leading a Waterway Clean Up - Monday 30th September 2019 & Monday 14th October 2019
Places are limited please only register if you can attend both days
The Course includes:Two days of tuition, Leading a Waterway Clean up handbook and additional learning resources, coursework to support your event and leadership development, NCFE accreditation and Badged Group support.
Section 1 - Monday 30th September 2019 - 10.00am till 16.00pm
You will build the knowledge, confidence and skills to lead safe, effective and fun waterway improvement events. You will learn to identify what tasks a group of volunteers can do which will really make a difference.
By the end of Day 1, you will be able to plan your own event and show that you can select an appropriate site, spot hazards, ensure health and safety, organise tasks and equipment and publicise your event.
The course involves both in-class and outdoors, site-specific learning.
Section 2 - Monday 14th October 2019 - 10.00am till 16.00pm
We will look at leadership responsibilities and focus on how to deliver a welcome/health and safety briefing. We will also cover promoting your event and talk about how to motivate individuals to come together and achieve common goals as a group.
By the end of Day 2, you will understand what it takes to support and lead a successful clean-up event.
The course involves both in-class and outdoors, site-specific learning.
Bat walk - 27 September 2019
Thank you to everyone who came to the bat walk (87 Attendees) Despite the early rain we still managed to hear & see numerous Bats in the Park and And especially around the Moat.
Many thanks to Simon Braidman from Harrow Nature Heroes for once again making this a most enjoyable and educational evening.
Improve your park Thursday 19 September 2019

Come and work alongside a group of volunteers from the Charity Wateraid who are giving up their time to help make Headstone Manor Park a pleasanter place.
We'll be weeding, cutting back vegetation, mulching and litter picking

Many thanks to the team from Wateraid UK.(https://www.wateraid.org/uk/) who came out on Thursday to to collect litter and tidy up around Headstone Manor Park, works included litter picking removal of weeds in car park and mulching of flower beds to keep down weeds and reduce water loss from the soil. Well done & thank you!

Corporate Litter Pick August 2019
Thanks to Rasila and the team from The Chartered Institute of Accountants who helped pick up 12 bags of litter from the Park today!
Less litter to harm wildlife,or end up in the Yeading Brook, the Park is now a nicer place to hang out on a lovely summer day
